Human Resources Luncheons

The Center for Local Government hosts bi-annual Human Resources Luncheons. These luncheons provide an opportunity for local HR leaders to meet and enjoy a catered lunch as well as hear from a speaker on a current HR hot topic and network among their peers in local government.

Previous discussions at the luncheons have included: Working from Home, the Affordable Care Act, Multi-Generational Workplace, Medical Marijuana and HR policy, changes to OPERS, Performance Evaluation, Recruiting Top Talent, and a multitude of other topics.

The Human Resources series was born out of the CLG Human Resources Task Force, which was made up of HR professionals from CLG’s member communities, and served as a resource for training opportunities, as well as a forum to discuss the latest developments in public sector human resources.

Human Resources Luncheons are held twice a year in the spring and fall.
